Step into our Kids Ristorante, where young chefs take over the kitchen and learn to cook delicious Italian dishes they’ll serve proudly to their grown-ups each week! This hands-on series blends creativity, confidence-building, and real kitchen skills in a fun, supportive environment.
Each class features one dinner dish and one dessert, prepared entirely by the students with age-appropriate tools and guidance. At 5:45 PM, our little chefs “open the restaurant” and present their creations to families for a shared dinner at pickup — a highlight that kids love and parents look forward to.
Across the four weeks, students will:
- Shape dough, roll pasta, and assemble Italian favorites
- Explore fresh ingredients and simple Italian flavors
- Practice safe kitchen habits and teamwork
- Gain confidence by serving food they made themselves

In this full day drop-off kids creative workshop, we will learn about Martin Luther King and the meaning of celebrating his life and message. We will use a variety of materials and creative projects to express our hopes for the future and our commitment to peace and celebration of diversity.
Kids will:

* Celebrate by making MLK birthday cupcakes and handmade candles

This 4 week class gives little ones a Waldorf preschool experience in a small nurturing environment. They'll learn seasonal nursery rhymes, do Waldorf type Arts and Crafts (ex: beeswax crayons and watercolor, felt and found objects, etc) and make their own snack from fresh organic ingredients.
Weekly on Fridays from 9am - 11am

About Teacher Madeleine
Hi! I'm Madeleine, experienced childcare provider, teacher, and fellow parent
I've always loved working with children, long before having two of my own. I taught in preschools, worked as a nanny for several families, and tutored in Seattle Public Schools for years before becoming a mom. Growing up in Seattle, my family really valued the creative arts and supported my interests. I strongly believe in the immense value creative expression holds, particularly for children's development. While pursuing my Master's at the UW, I took several Art classes and am continually learning more. More recently, I ran my own after school care program for Arbor Heights Elementary students.
I created Madeleine's Kids Classes because, as a parent, I've noticed a lack of enrichment activities for kids and creative classes for children in my area. My aim is to provide classes that meet both the need for kids to have new creative learning experiences while giving parents a well-deserved break.
