Step into a magical storybook world where classic fairytales come to life through cooking, baking, creativity, and imaginative play.
At Fairytale Kitchen Camp, children will spend the week baking delicious treats, creating beautiful keepsakes, hearing beloved stories, and making new friends in a warm, small-group environment. Each day is inspired by a different classic fairytale, bringing stories off the page and into the kitchen.
Campers will mix, measure, knead, decorate, paint, and create while building confidence and practicing valuable life skills through hands-on experiences.
Camp Highlights:

🥕 Make and share a pot of Stone Soup while creating a handmade clay kindness bowl

Join us for a fun and refreshing 2-day Summer Treats Camp where kids will make real ice cream, create fruit-based treats, and enjoy hands-on kitchen fun in a small, supportive group.
Campers will:
- Make homemade vanilla ice cream using an ice cream maker
- Build ice cream sundaes with fresh fruit and toppings
- Create mini no-bake fruit tarts
- Prepare summer fruit kabobs with yogurt dip
- Design their own ice cream shop menu
Each day includes cooking projects, outdoor play, creative activities, lunch, and free choice time. Activities are naturally adapted so both younger and older children can participate confidently.

What if science experiments were delicious?
At STEM Kitchen Lab Camp, children become scientists, engineers, inventors, and mathematicians as they explore the exciting world of STEM through hands-on cooking, baking, and creative investigations. Each day is filled with real experiments, engaging challenges, and from-scratch recipes that bring science and math to life in a way that's fun, memorable, and easy to understand.
Throughout the week, campers will make butter while learning about chemistry, build edible engineering structures, create homemade pasta while discovering food science, harness the power of the sun with solar ovens, and finish the week as Kitchen Mathematicians by baking geometry cookies and exploring patterns, measurement, and symmetry.
Along the way they'll:

Step into the forest for a magical week of baking, creativity, and woodland animals!
At Woodland Creatures Kitchen & Art Camp, children will spend their days baking animal-themed treats, creating nature-inspired art projects, and learning about the fascinating animals that live in forests.
Each day features a different woodland creature—such as foxes, bears, owls, squirrels, and deer—and campers will bring these animals to life through fun hands-on kitchen projects and creative crafts.
This camp is designed to spark imagination while helping children build confidence in the kitchen and explore their creativity.

At Harvest Kitchen Camp, children will spend the day creating comforting fall recipes completely from scratch while learning real kitchen skills in a warm, welcoming environment. We'll knead yeast dough, shape adorable pumpkin dinner rolls, stir homemade tomato soup, bake pumpkin spice whoopie pies, and create beautiful harvest leaf lanterns to take home.

About Teacher Madeleine
Hi! I'm Madeleine, experienced childcare provider, teacher, and fellow parent
I've always loved working with children, long before having two of my own. I taught in preschools, worked as a nanny for several families, and tutored in Seattle Public Schools for years before becoming a mom. Growing up in Seattle, my family really valued the creative arts and supported my interests. I strongly believe in the immense value creative expression holds, particularly for children's development. While pursuing my Master's at the UW, I took several Art classes and am continually learning more. More recently, I ran my own after school care program for Arbor Heights Elementary students. Currently I teach afterschool enrichment classes at several schools in West Seattle.
I created Madeleine's Kids Classes because, as a parent, I've noticed a lack of enrichment activities for kids and creative classes for children in my area. My aim is to provide classes that meet both the need for kids to have new creative learning experiences while giving parents a well-deserved break.
