Celebrate the magic of fall together in this cozy parent-and-child baking experience! Little bakers and their grown-up will spend the morning mixing, measuring, decorating, and making sweet autumn memories side by side.
Together you'll bake delicious Pumpkin Mini Muffins, roll and decorate Fall Sugar Cookies, enjoy a cozy fall snack, and head home with a bakery box full of homemade treats.
During this workshop, families will:

Calling all little bakers! Join us for an afternoon of spooky baking fun as we transform the kitchen into a Halloween bakery filled with delicious treats, creative decorating, and plenty of festive fun.
Children will bake rich Chocolate Spiderweb Cupcakes completely from scratch, roll and cut their own Halloween Sugar Cookies, and decorate their creations with colorful icing, candy eyes, sprinkles, and other spooky surprises. After baking, everyone will enjoy a festive bakery tasting before taking home a bakery box filled with their handmade Halloween treats and recipe cards to recreate them at home.
During this workshop, children will:

Step into the enchanting world of Wicked for a day of hands-on baking, creative art, outdoor games, and magical fun! Young bakers will become students at Shiz University, where they'll discover that kindness, creativity, and being yourself are the greatest kinds of magic.
Throughout the day, campers will mix, measure, bake, decorate, create, and play while building confidence in the kitchen and making new friends. Whether your child already loves Wicked or simply enjoys baking and imaginative play, they'll leave with delicious treats, new skills, and wonderful memories.

💚 Emerald City Cupcakes
Bake vanilla cupcakes completely from scratch and decorate them with beautiful emerald green buttercream, shimmering gold sprinkles, and edible glitter.
🩷 Glinda's Bubble Sugar Cookies
Mix, roll, cut, bake, and decorate homemade sugar cookies with pink icing, pearl sprinkles, and magical sparkle.
🌈 Rainbow Pretzel Wands
Dip pretzel rods in creamy white chocolate and decorate them with colorful drizzles, sprinkles, and edible stars.
✨ Bubble Potion Drinks
Create a sparkling pink potion with fizzy bubbles and edible glitter while learning a little kitchen science along the way.

Celebrate the beauty of autumn with a cozy day of cooking, baking, creativity, and outdoor play!
At Harvest Kitchen Camp, children will spend the day creating comforting fall recipes completely from scratch while learning real kitchen skills in a warm, welcoming environment. We'll knead yeast dough, shape adorable pumpkin dinner rolls, stir homemade tomato soup, bake pumpkin spice whoopie pies, and create beautiful harvest leaf lanterns to take home.
Between baking projects, campers will enjoy outdoor play, a nature-inspired art activity, and a delicious homemade lunch that they helped prepare themselves.
During camp, children will:

Winter Classes and 1-Day Camps
Winter Holiday Cookie Workshop
Saturday, December 12th | 1pm - 4:00pm
Ages: 5 - 10 (Drop-off Class)

Cost: $150
Kick off the holiday season with a festive afternoon of baking, decorating, and holiday fun at Madeleine’s Kids Classes!
Young bakers will make classic gingerbread cut-out cookies and rich chocolate crinkle cookies from scratch, then get creative decorating their gingerbread with colorful icing, sprinkles, and festive toppings.
Along the way, kids will build confidence in the kitchen as they measure, mix, roll, cut, bake, and decorate—all in a fun, small-group setting designed just for young bakers.
At the end of the workshop, each child will head home with a box of handmade holiday cookies to share with family and friends (if they can resist eating them first!).

Winter Wonderland Creative Culinary Camp

Spend three magical winter days baking, creating, and celebrating the season at Madeleine’s Kids Classes!
Campers will roll up their sleeves for an exciting mix of from-scratch cooking and baking, winter art, handmade holiday gifts, outdoor play, and plenty of cozy seasonal fun. From shaping homemade soft pretzels and decorating Hot Cocoa Cupcakes to creating their own Snowman Focaccia and sparkling stained-glass cookie ornaments, each day brings something new to make and explore.

Better Together: MLK Day Baking & Art Camp
Monday, January 18 | 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Ages: 6 - 10
Location: Madeleine’s Kids Classes, 10248 34th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98146
Join us for a special day of baking, art, and community inspired by the life and message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Young chefs will spend the day making delicious recipes from scratch while exploring the idea that some of the best things happen when we work together. We’ll make homemade “Better Together” pull-apart bread, work as a team to shake cream into homemade honey butter, and bake Kindness Cookies to package and share with someone special.
We’ll also read the award-winning picture book Martin’s Big Words and talk together about kindness, fairness, community, and Dr. King’s dream for a better world. Campers will then create their own colorful “I Have a Dream…” mixed-media collage inspired by their hopes for their community and the world around them.
We’ll make:

About Teacher Madeleine
Hi! I'm Madeleine, experienced childcare provider, teacher, and fellow parent
I've always loved working with children, long before having two of my own. I taught in preschools, worked as a nanny for several families, and tutored in Seattle Public Schools for years before becoming a mom. Growing up in Seattle, my family really valued the creative arts and supported my interests. I strongly believe in the immense value creative expression holds, particularly for children's development. While pursuing my Master's at the UW, I took several Art classes and am continually learning more. More recently, I ran my own after school care program for Arbor Heights Elementary students. Currently I teach afterschool enrichment classes at several schools in West Seattle.
I created Madeleine's Kids Classes because, as a parent, I've noticed a lack of enrichment activities for kids and creative classes for children in my area. My aim is to provide classes that meet both the need for kids to have new creative learning experiences while giving parents a well-deserved break.
